Teaching Mathematics
I am an experienced mathematics educator with a long-standing teaching career across both Vietnam and the United States. From 2012 to 2015, I taught a variety of undergraduate mathematics courses at the University of California, Irvine. Prior to that, I held a graduate teaching and research assistantship at the University of California, San Diego, where I taught multiple lower- and upper-division courses from 2008 to 2012. Earlier in my career, from 2004 to 2008, I served as a mathematics instructor at Hanoi National University of Education in Hanoi, Vietnam.
At Phenikaa University, I hold a lecturer position. In the last 4 years, I have been teaching numerous classes in the following subjects: Advanced Mathematics I & II, Analysis I & II, Linear Algebra, Numerical Analysis, Statistics and Probability, Theory of Probability and Statistics, Functions of a Complex Variable.
As part of my role, I am currently crafting a series of comprehensive lecture notes to aid my students' learning experiences. Among these resources, I am diligently working on a concise set of notes (in Vietnamese) specifically focused on Linear Algebra, Analysis, Differential Equations, Probability and Statistics, and Numerical Analysis. Among these, "Linear Algebra" which I co-authored with Dr. Bui Xuan Quang, Dr. Phan Quang Sang, and Dr. Do Quoc Tuan, was published by Vietnam National University Press in 2025. The book can be found at the Library of Phenikaa University. See here.
I have also compiled lecture notes for Lí thuyết Xác suất và Thống kê (Probability and Statistics) and for Phương pháp tính (Computational Methods with R) for my classes at Phenikaa University.
Also, I compiled some MATLAB/Octave codes as well as R codes for my Numerical Analysis classes, which are available here.
